PITCH VS

PRESENTATION
 When you give a presentation, you are sharing facts and
information, when pitching you are still sharing information but
there is an end goal – to sell something .
 A pitch is more than just an informational presentation.
 A pitch inspires action.
 Pitching involves persuading and selling products, ideas, or
projects to stakeholders for investment, support, or approval.
IDEA PITCHING
 Idea pitching is the act of presenting a new idea to a potential
audience in order to gain their support.
 This can be done in a variety of settings, such as a business meeting,
a pitch competition, or a crowdfunding campaign.
 An idea pitch typically includes the following elements:
 • A brief overview of the problem that the idea solves
 • A description of the proposed solution
 • The benefits of the solution
 • The market for the solution
 • The team and their qualifications
 • The financial projections
 The goal of an idea pitch is to convince the audience that the idea is
feasible, valuable, and worth their support.
 The pitch should be clear, concise, and persuasive.

IDEA PITCHES
UBER
 Uber was founded in 2009 by Travis Kalanick and Garrett Camp.
 Travis Kalanick pitched his idea for Uber to a group of investors.
 He started by explaining the problem that Uber solved: the
difficulty of getting a taxi in a city.
 He then presented his solution: a ride-hailing app that would
allow people to book a taxi with a few taps on their
smartphone.

FACEBOOK

TESLA
 In 2003, Elon Musk pitched his idea for Tesla to a group of
investors.
 He started by explaining the problem that Tesla solved: the
environmental impact of gasoline-powered cars.
 He then presented his solution: an electric car that would be
more environmentally friendly.
 Musk also highlighted the benefits of his idea, such as the lower
operating costs of electric cars.
SPOTIFY
 Spotify was founded in 2006 by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon.
 The company's idea was to create a music streaming service that
would allow users to listen to any song they wanted, on demand.
 Spotify was initially met with resistance from the music industry, but
it eventually gained traction and is now one of the most popular
music streaming services in the world.
AIRBNB

 Airbnb was founded in 2008 by Brian Chesky, Nathan Blecharczyk,


and Joe Gebbia.
 The company's idea was to create a platform that would allow people
to rent out their homes to travelers.
 Airbnb quickly became popular, and it is now one of the most
popular accommodation platforms in the world.
SLACK
 Slack was founded in 2013 by Stewart Butterfield, Eric Costello, and
Cal Henderson.
 The company's idea was to create a workplace communication
platform that would be more efficient and effective than email.
 Slack has been a huge success, and it is now used by millions of
people around the world.
ZOOM
 Zoom was founded in 2011 by Eric Yuan.
 The company's idea was to create a video conferencing platform
that would be easy to use and affordable.
 Zoom has been a huge success, and it is now used by millions of
people around the world for work, school, and personal use.
