Conflict
India and Pakistan have had a tough relationship
since they became separate countries in 1947.
The main problem is over a beautiful place
called Kashmir. Both countries say it’s theirs, but
they haven’t agreed on who should keep it.
They’ve fought wars over it and still argue a lot.
Sometimes, people there fight for independence
or to join Pakistan, which makes things worse.
In 2019, India decided to take away some
special rights that Kashmir had for a long time,
which made Pakistan very upset. The world is
also worried because both countries have
powerful weapons and any big fight could be
very dangerous.

Even though they’ve tried to fix their problems


and talk, it’s still not working out. The fighting
and disagreements hurt the people living in
Kashmir a lot, and it’s a big issue for everyone’s

The India-Pakistan relations has often afflicted by cross-
border terrorism, ceasefire violations, territorial disputes,
etc. In 2019, the bilateral relationship was rocked by
several tense events like the Pulwama terror attack,
Balakot airstrike, scrapping of Jammu and Kashmir's
special status, etc. Improving bilateral ties is vital for both
sides, as it would mean stabilization of South Asia and the
improvement of economies of both the nations. However,
