• The SIT-4 is a verbal screening measure of cognitive ability
for children and adults and is ideal for those with visual
impairment, reading disabilities, or other conditions.

Includes six domains:
– General Information (GI): the learning of cultural
knowledge, much of which is not explicitly or
directly taught.
– Comprehension (CO): the knowledge of social
behavior, "common sense," and the ability to
interpret sayings and proverbs.
– Quantitative (QN): the ability to do mental
calculations, remember essential numbers, and
determine the arithmetic process required to
calculate correct answers.
– Similarities and Differences (SD): the skill in determining
common attributes of two dissimiliar things or concepts
and some uncommon attributes.
– Vocabulary (VO): the ability to use, understand, and define
words orally.
– Auditory Memory (AM): the capability to remember and
repeat correctly a random series of digits, both forward
and backward, as well as several sentences.
• The SIT-4 yields a Total Score, charts category scores,
and compares ability to achievement.
