• Introduction
• The institution works under guidance of State Council of
Educational Research and Training, popularly known as
SCERT.
• It aims at providing academic leadership in school
education as well as improving the quality of education
provided in primary and secondary schools in the state.

OBJECTIVES & ACTIVITIES OF DIETs
• Mentoring & Monitoring of Schools : for academic
improvement, pedagogical skills, enhancement and
activity based learning.
• NIPUN-FLN : School visits for promotion of usage of
various TLMs and incorporation of Pedagogical skills
imparted in teacher trainings.
• Research & Analysis : Educational research as well
as action reasearch with students and teachers in
collaboration with REAP cell.

• IFIC Wing Teacher Trainings: Karmayogi Training, e-
content Training, MTs training by TISS
• Science Department Programmes viz. SPARK
(Science Promotion through activities, research and
knowledge), INSPIRE Nominations , science lab
inspections.
• Maths Department: Promotion of kashmiri Amrit &
Harbans Puzzle, Usage of maths kit in schools.

Gram youth Panchayat Competition, Eco Clubs &
Yog clubs in schools. Youth Parliament Competition,
Role play & folk dance competition, Legal literacy

• Language Department: Celebration of Hindi
Pakhwara, Establishment of reading corner in
primary schools.

• Enhancing the quality of education in primary and secondary
schools in the district.
• Management of teacher education in the district (both pre service
and in service education)

• Encouraging the talent of the students through scholarships,

• Having found the teaching needs of High School teachers,
enhancing the teaching skills of teachers
• Accelerating the learning abilities of the students studying in Govt.
Schools.
• Bringing about a better change in educational quality of Teacher
Training Institutes.
• Maintaining and improving quality of education in primary and
secondary schools in the state,
• Management of teacher education in the district (both pre service
and in service education) both at the elementary education and
secondary education levels,
• Preparation and revision of curriculum for various courses coming
under school education,
• Preparation, production and distribution of teachers’ hand Books,
resource materials, training manuals for primary, elementary, secondary
schools, revision test papers for board classes.
• Procurement and supply of Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs) and
resource books to schools,
• Designing and implementing in service teacher training courses in
content, pedagogy, innovative methods like theatre in education, use of
low cost and no cost teaching learning materials in schools, etc.,
