Community Service
Definition of Community

elements. Also a community is a group of
people or things that live in the same area.
The substance of shared elements varies
widely from a situation to interest to lives and
values.
Definition of Community Service
Community Service are identified by an
higher education through formal or informal
consultation with local non-profit,
governmental and community-based
organization as designed to improve the
quality of life for community residents

Defining Civic Responsibility
What is Civic Responsibility? Although no
single definition exist, it is clear that civic
responsibility is not merely a matter of
voting or obeying the laws. Concept of
Civic Responsibility include “citizenship
for democracy” “participatory
democracy” and social responsibility.
Active Citizen Today Projected Student Outcomes
To foster civic responsibility active citizenship
today recognize desired learning outcomes in
three broad areas: knowledge, skills and
attitudes. Each outcomes is supported by a series
of specific abilities
Voluntary Service
•his/her area of work
•in other offices of the government
•his/her Barangay, municipality, city, provincial
•in disaster/calamity stricken areas
•in any place where services may be needed
The following may be consider voluntary
services:
-In the office
-in the community
-in the home
Volunteer’s Service Tracking System
Volunteers may report to the Volunteer action
center of department of SOCIAL WELFARE and
SERVICES (DSWD) in his agency any services
(official, civic or religious activities) that he has
undertaken in a particular day, week or month.
Linkages
Volunteers of a particular agency may link-up
theirs activities with volunteers of other
agencies (non-government or government
organizations).
Training programs
The Local Government Agencies particular
agency on Volunteer Management Training
programs and other relevant programs like
disaster preparedness, etc, shall developed &
conducted to equip Volunteers with the skills &
competence needed in carrying out their tasks.
Information & updates
A bulletin board may be provided by the
agency exclusively for use of the volunteers.

Training Group gives a systematic
description of a community development
process. The step in the process are seen
simultaneously from the point of view of the
group of people in the community
development process and community

SOCIAL CAPITAL is a prerequisite for

places including workplace ,sporting
event ,religious activities ,schools and carnivals
