medical checkups every 6 months.
Always there is a need to be healthy
because unhealthy body will be
attacked by many diseases.
Do you think playing sports is
necessary for everybody?
Yes, definitely. Playing sports plays
an important role in keeping your
body healthy. It helps people not only
stay healthy but also release stress.
How do you usually travel?
I use public transport to travel
everyday. I live near a bus station so
I take the bus to the university and
my workplace to save time and
money.
Do you prefer travelling by public
transport? Why?
I prefer travelling by public transport.
It’s not only convenient but also
affordable. I often travel by bus to
avoid traffic jam in rush hour.
What is your opinion on traffic in
Vietnam?
Personally, I think the transport
network is undeveloped in Vietnam.
Sense of participation in traffic of
Vietnamese is poor. There are a lot of
potholes on the road. Traffic
congestion usually happens in big
cities.

of two main reasons
I suppose I would choose ____ as the most
suitable choice.
Obviously, ____ would be the ultimate choice.
___ is the option that suits me most.
In my opinion, no choice is better than___
In my opinion, no choice is better than going by
cable.
Firstly, I can reach the top quickly and easily when
going by cable.
Secondly, I am able to enjoy beauty spots while
I’m in cable.
There are several reasons why I don’t choose other
options. Climbing stairs makes me exhausted. In
addition, it’s dangerous for people to climb with
tools.
Because of above reasons, going by cable is the
best choice

Firstly, working from home is a good
choice to reduce traffic jam. We can use
Internet to work instead of going to the
office.
Secondly, people should use public
transport such as bus and underground
train to avoid traffic congestion in rush
hour.
Thirdly, tax for private vehicle owners
can be used to maintain the traffic

not as popular as private transport.
WRITING
TASK 1
Write a letter
You are staying in a rented house. You
recently held a party to celebrate your
birthday. Several neighbors have complained
about the noise to your landlord. Write a
letter to your landlord. In your letter:
+ apologize for what you did
+ explain the situation
+ say how you will correct the situation
Dear Mr. Le,
I am a tenant in 12 Nguyen Du and I am
writing to you to apologize for an
incident last week when several
neighbors complained about the noise of
my birthday party.
I intended to host a small dinner party. At
around 11 p.m. Mr Minh, my neighbor
from second floor, called to request us
turn down the music. We immediately
closed all windows and lowered the level
of the music but some guests remained
outside on the balcony talking. I only
realized in the next morning that one
guest had broken a flower pot belonging
to Mrs Linh on the ground floor.
I am very sorry for what happened
and I wrote a letter to apologize to all
neighbors the following day. I also
bought a new flower pot for Mrs
Linh to compensate for my friend’s
misstep. I hope that they and you
accept my apology for the events on
this unfortunate evening. I will not
hold a party again in my apartment.
Yours Sincerely,
