MORNING ASSEMBLY GUIDE LINES


 Importance and effectiveness of conducting Morning Assembly
 Assembly must be conducted for Grade I – X to make them punctual and
well organized individuals of the society
 Morning Assembly should be conducted under the supervision of the class
Incharge.
 Maximum time for Morning Assembly should be 10 – 15 minutes.
 Daily Assembly topic must be assigned by the Academic head for Assembly
presentation.
 Each staff member should attend the morning assembly. Class teacher
should be with his/her respective class.
 The head of the school must be present at the assembly , Also she has to
speak over the topic in the assembly.
 Morning Assembly must start with the recitation of Holy QURAN and end
with singing of the National anthem by the selected students.
THINGS TO REMEMBER WHILE PLANNING THE ASSEMBLY
 Curriculum Relevance: Topic should be relevant to the curriculum
 Environment: a visual display/Picture/chart/music etc.
 Use Of Space: The space where teachers and students will present the
assembly/performance.
 Use Of Voice: Proper Use Of Sound System.
 Moral Instructions for the Day: starting the day with a religious or moral thoughts
 Sequence of the Morning Assembly: Recitation with translation, announcement if
any, class presentation, question of the day, School Head speech, National Anthem.
 Uniforms and Personal cleanliness must be checked by the duty teachers on student
check list form
 Assembly record form must be filled by the School Head and Assembly duty teacher
on daily basis.

Class Startup:
 After assembly, class incharge must check school bags of her students,
and fill up student checklist form if found any irrelevant material.
 She has to prepare the board , by writing subject, topic, student
attendance and diary corner.
 Mark students attendance on attendance register by calling every child
proper names.
 Start the lesson
 First period is Urdu
 Command on class control, students attention towards lecture, class
work completion of every child.
DAILY LESSON PLANS/UNIT PLANS
 Responsibilities:
 Academic head is responsible to define lesson plans/Unit plans and provide
them week wise among the teachers.
 She is responsible to prepare this work instruction
 She is responsible to control, update, distribute and implement this work
instruction
DAILY LESSON PLANS/UNIT PLANS
 Daily lesson plan is developed for a 40/50 minutes session for a class.
 It consists of five main stages:

1. Introduction: students are introduced with the lesson

2. Methodology: techniques, resources and methodologies used to teach e.g pair work,
group work, silent reading, reading aloud, worksheets etc.
3. Wrap up/conduction: Recap of the main points of the lesson .

4. Homework. Proper home work policy must be followed.

In each stage , a timeline is specified along with the learning objectives, plan, time for a
session, Teaching Aids/resources.
It also carries Topic, Subject, Class and Week/Plan # and learning objectives.
Weekly Planner
 Weekly planner is a form. Academic head provides these forms to
ever teacher.
 It contains class and subject wise record of the lessons taught by the

teacher periodically.
 All teachers must fill this form on daily basis and Academic head

must sign it.


 Teachers must keep this record in her academic file.

NOTEBOOK CHECKING GUIDELINES
 Notebook Maintenance:
1. Teachers must encourage the students to take extra care of their notebooks in
order to protect them from becoming soiled, torn, blotted, damaged or discoloured.
2. Neat and clean notebooks must be appreciated with positive/encouraging remarks
from the teacher.
3. All notebooks should be neatly plastic covered, Complete wth the information of
the student on the title page.
4. Index should be filled in regularly by the students and signed by the teacher and
parents.
WORK PRESENTATION

 Well presented, well-spaced work with neat, legible handwriting always looks better
than crowded and cluttered work.
 If an error has taken place, simply put a cross with a pencil. Over- Writing and use of
any eraser is not recommended.
 Half inch space between two words and one inch space before each new paragraph is
recommended. Leave one line between each exercise.
 Mention the date on all worksheets.
 Students must read their work thoroughly and carefully to avoid mistakes before
submission.
GUIDELINES FOR TEACHERS:
 Checking will begin with the date and name of topic.
 The notebooks should not be checked in the class.
 Small ticks will be used in the margin lines.
 Crosses must not be used to highlight the mistakes.
 Overwriting on student’s classwork/homework by the teacher is strongly discouraged.
 Teacher’s signature along with the date should be mentioned
 Teachers must ensure that the corrections are done by the students as required.
 Students must not start new work until the previous correction work has been
completed

GUIDELINES FOR TEACHERS

 Negative remarks must be avoided.


 Carefully monitoring in the class will result in fewer mistakes and less
correction effort.
 Students must be trained to submit their work on time. Parents are to
be informed in case of late submission.
 Unchecked Class work or Home work should not be sent home.
 A term wise report on notebook checking should be prepared and
submitted to the academic head/Coordinator.
HOMEWORK POLICY

 Students home work will be written in their homework diaries.


 Deadlines will always be clearly mentioned for completion of homework in the
diaries for students and their parents.
 Class and subjects teachers will maintain their own diaries for record keeping.
 Homework must be related to school work.
 There should always be a purpose to give homework and it is never given as
time filter.
GUIDELINES FOR TEACHERS:
GIVE CLEAR AND APPROPRIATE ASSIGNMENTS

 Establish a set Homework routine at the beginning of the year.


 Assign work that the students can do.
 Assign Homework in small units
 Explain the assignment clearly
 Write the assignment on the whiteboard and leave it there until the period
ends.
 Relate Homework to class work.
 Explain how to do the homework, provide examples and write directions on
the board.
HOMEWORK GUIDELINES

 Make necessary modifications to the homework assignment before sending it o home.


 Monitor students’ Homework more closely
 Adjust the length of the assignment.
 Provide learning tools. e.g calculator.
 Give fewer assignments.
 Homework must be regularly given, carefully checked, and timely returned to the students.
 Very untidy, carelessly done homework should not be accepted.
 No homework should be given until the previous one is checked.
 Incase of continuous delays, in completing homework by a student, his/her parents should
be informed.
ALL STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES
 Be Calm and Polite with students.
 Share more activities on Campus Face book page.
 Like and share activities of your school on social media.
 Try to convince your neighbours, friends, relatives etc to get

admission in school.
 Every teacher must remain in touch with parents to show her

Concern with their child’ progress.


 Class teacher must call absent students on daily basis from School

official number before leaving in off time.


 Put extra effort upon weak students.
ALL STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES

 Follow the rules and regulation of school.


 Teachers are not allowed to leave their classes free.
 Be Punctual and regular.
 Its teacher’ responsibility to keep her class neat and clean by giving
instructions to her students regarding throwing litter.
 All Teachers must switch off all lights and fans before leaving.
