INTRODUCTION
BHK is a terminology used in real estate sector quite
often. BHK stand for:-
B- BEDROOM
H- HALL
K - KITCHEN
Materials used for construction
 Cement:
The function of cement is to combine with water to from cement
past. This paste sets and binds the aggregate together into a stone
like hard mass and thus provides strength durability.

 Aggregates: Aggregates are small pieces of broken stone in

irregular size and shape
Types of Aggregates =
Fine Aggregate

Water: it is an important ingredient of concrete
because it combines with cement and forms a binding
paste. The paste thus formed fill up the voids of the
sand and course agg. Bringing then into close adhesion
R.C.C: Though plain cement concrete has high
compressive strength and is reactively low.
So it is reinforced by placing steel bars in the tensile
zone of the concrete beam so that the compressive
stress is carried by concrete and tensile stress is
carried by steel reinforcing bars.
BUILDING BYE LAWS
For the construction of any building , certain restriction are laid down
By municipal bodies , urban development authorities , and other
Government departments as town planning trusts to clear open
Spaces to be left around the buildings .
Maximum covered area: - Permissible covered area of various plots
are given below:-

S.N. CLASSIFICATION OF AREA OF PLOTS COVERED AREA

PLOTS (m2) (m2)
1. TYPE A >1000 330-400
2. TYPE B 501-1000 250-400
3. TYPE C 201-500 133-250
4. TYPE D <200 132

DOUBLE STOREY 30CM(1.5BRICK)

TRIPLE STOREY 40CM(2BRICK)

FEATURE OF 4BHK
 4BHK stand for:-
 4 bedroom, hall, kitchen.
 but it does not generally specify the number of toilets
or the number of balcony.
SELECTION OF SITE
Selection of plot is very important for buildings a
house.
Site should be in good place where there community
but service is convenient but not so closed that
becomes a source of inconvenience or noisy.
SURVEY
The planning and design of civil engineering project
such as construction of
highway,bridges,tunnels,dams,etc are based upon
surveying measurement. Moreover ,during execution,
project of any magnitude is constructed along the line
and points established by surveying.
Techniques of surveying

Distance measurement
Angle measurement
Reference networks
Errors and accuracy
SITE SURVEY
We did contouring at the desirable site.
During the time of contouring, we took the reading of
desired site with the help of survey equipment and
note down on the survey book.
SITE SURVEY
Site survey completed with the help of SQUARE
Method
Contour
The delineation of any property in map form by
constructing lines of equal values of that property from
available data points.
METHOD OF CONTOUR

There are two methods of contour surveying:

Direct method.
Indirect method.
SURVEYING EQUIPMENT
DRAWING OF 4BHK
DESCRIPTION OF SLAB
A large, thick, flat piece of concrete typically square or
rectangular in shape.
Slabs are constructed to provide flat surfaces, usually
horizontal, in building floors, roofs, bridges, and other
types of structures.
one way salb
One way slab is a slab which is supported by beams on the two opposite sides to carry the
load along one [Link] ratio of longer span (l) to shorter span (b) is equal or greater
than 2, considered as One way slab because this slab will bend in one direction i.e in the
direction along its shorter span
Two way slab

Two way slab is a slab supported by beams on all the

four sides and the loads are carried by the supports
along both directions, it is known as two way slab. In
two way slab, the ratio of longer span (l) to shorter
span (b) is less than 2.

L/S<2
DESCRIPTION OF COLUMN
A column can be defined as a vertical structural
member designed to transmit a compressive load.
AColumn transmits the load from ceiling/roof slab and
beam, including its own weight to the foundation.
SPECIFICATION
CONCLUSION
Durability of a building depend mainly on proper
construction process and proper use of material .
Plaster is necessary to cover and protect the masonry
from weathering factor .
