1. Two passport size photographs, with your name
and signature on reverse side.
2. Eye test certificate, the certificate must show near
vision and colour tests.
3. Completed examination form, you can print from

• Theory part A2: General Welding Theory
• 30 minutes 39 multiple choice questions.

• Theory part B2: Specific Welding Technology .


• 1hour 15 mins 4 questions from 6

• Practical part A2: Inspection of a plate butt


• 1 Hour 15 mins weld. Code provided.

• Practical part B2: Examination of pipe butt


• 1 Hour 45 mins weld. Candidate’s nominated code

• Practical part C2: Inspection of a set of


• 45 mins destructive test samples.
• Oral: Nominated code plus general
