2. Eye test certificate, the certificate must show near
vision and colour tests.
3. Completed examination Form, you can print from

• 30 mins
general welding technology
• Theory part B2: Specific welding technology.
• 1 Hour 15mins 4 questions from 6. Question 1
compulsory
• Practical part A2: Inspection of a plate butt
• 1 Hour 15 mins weld (code provided).
• Practical part B2: Inspection of a pipe butt
• 1 Hour 45mins weld (your chosen code e.g API 1104)
• Practical part C2: Inspection 2 macro samples
• 45mins (code ISO 5817)
• Oral: Discussion of general welding
theory

achieved

The retest, (or complete re-examination) may
not be taken within 30 days of the previous
