What is Engineering?
Engineering is a scientific field and job that involves taking our
scientific understanding of the natural world and using it to
invent, design, and build things to solve problems and achieve
practical goals. This can include the development of roads,
bridges, cars, planes, machines, tools, processes, and
computers.
What is Engineering?
What is Electronics Engineering?
(Introduction)
Electronic engineering (also called electronics and
communications engineering) is an electrical engineering
discipline which utilizes nonlinear and active electrical
components (such as semiconductor devices, especially
transistors and diodes) to design electronic circuits, devices,
integrated circuits and their systems. The discipline typically
also designs passive electrical components, usually based on
printed circuit boards.
What is Electronics Engineering?
In other words Electronics Engineering may be defined as “the
branch of science in which we deals with the motion of
electrons in controlled manner in small power level”.
What is Electronics and Communication Engineering?
History
History of electronic engineering defines electronics as "The science
and technology of the conduction of electricity in a vacuum, a gas, or
a semiconductor, and devices based there on”. Electronic engineering
as a profession sprang from technological improvements in the
telegraph industry during the late 19th century and in the radio and
telephone industries during the
early 20th century. People gravitated to radio, attracted by the
technical fascination it inspired, first in receiving and then in
transmitting. Many who went into broadcasting in the 1920s had
become "amateurs" in the period before World War I.
History
The modern discipline of electronic engineering was to a large extent born
out of telephone-, radio-, and television-equipment development and the
large amount of electronic-systems development during World War II of
radar, sonar, communication systems, and advanced munitions and
weapon systems. In the interwar years, the subject was known as
radio engineering. The word electronics began to be used in the 1940s In
the late 1950s the term electronic engineering started to emerge.
Electronic engineering (even before it acquired the name) facilitated the
development of many technologies including wireless telegraphy, radio,
television, radar, computers and microprocessors.

Works
Electronics is widely used in information processing,
telecommunication, and signal processing. The ability
of electronic devices to act as switches makes digital
information-processing possible. Here is a list of Electronic
devices include televisions, DVD players, laptops, desktop
computers, mobile phones, iPods, iPads, cameras, fans, ovens,
washing machines, game consoles, printers and radios.
Works
Works
We all use mobile phones. Mobile phone is electronic
equipment and we use it for communicating with others.
Electronics and Communication Engineering is involved in the
making of this device. Similarly, EC Engineering is also
involved in development, testing, manufacturing and analysis
of devices like TV, Computers, Radio, Communication Systems,
Complex control systems, Robotic systems, VLSI systems, PCB
Boards etc.
Importance of Electronics and Communication in Our daily Life
In present era the field of electronics & communication plays an important role in
almost every sphere of our life. It has penetrated in every field of our existence .
