POMODORO TECHNIQUE
The Pomodoro Technique is a time
management method that involves
breaking your study time into
intervals of 25 minutes, known as
'Pomodoros.' Each Pomodoro is
followed by a short break of 5
minutes. This technique helps
improve focus and productivity.
CORNELL METHOD
The Cornell Method is an effective note-
taking system. Divide your note-taking
page into two sections: a narrow left
column for cues and a wider right column
for taking notes. After the lecture,
summarize the main points in the left
column and use the right column for
detailed notes.
MIND
MAPPING
Mind Mapping is a visual method for
organizing and connecting
information. Start with a central idea
and branch out using lines, colors,
symbols, and keywords to represent
related concepts. This technique
enhances creativity, memory, and
understanding.
SQ3R METHOD
The SQ3R Method is a reading and
studying strategy that stands for Survey,
Question, Read, Recite, and Review. It
involves previewing the material,
generating questions, reading actively,
summarizing the content, and reviewing
the material for better retention.
FEYNMAN TECHNIQUE
The Feynman Technique is a
method for learning and
understanding complex concepts. It
involves explaining the topic in
simple terms as if teaching it to
someone else. This technique helps
identify knowledge gaps and
reinforces understanding.
FLASHCARDS
Flashcards are a popular study tool for
memorizing information. Write a question
or concept on one side of the card and the
corresponding answer or explanation on
the other side. Test yourself by flipping the
cards and recalling the information.
SPACED
REPETITION
Spaced Repetition is a technique that
involves reviewing information at
increasing intervals over time. It takes
advantage of the spacing effect, which
suggests that long-term retention is
improved by spacing out learning
sessions.
CHUNKING
Chunking is a method for
breaking down complex
information into smaller, more
manageable chunks. By
organizing information into
meaningful groups, it becomes
easier to remember and process.
FLOW-BASED NOTE-
TAKING
Flow-Based Note-Taking is a method
that uses visual diagrams, arrows, and
connections to represent the flow of
information. It helps organize complex
ideas and relationships visually,
making it easier to understand and
remember the content.
ACTIVE RECALL
Active Recall involves actively retrieving
information from memory rather than
passively reviewing it. Use techniques like
self-quizzing, summarizing, or teaching the
material to enhance learning and
retention.
MNEMONICS
Mnemonics are memory aids that
use vivid imagery, acronyms, or
associations to help remember
information. Create mnemonic
devices that link the material to
something memorable or easier to
recall.
VISUALIZATION
Visualization involves creating mental
images or visual representations of
the information you are studying.
Visualize concepts, processes, or
relationships to improve
understanding and recall.
