Q: What is feedback?
A: Feedback is information that a performer receives about their performance. Feedback
Feedback
should be given immediately if possible. Feedback should start with a positive comment followed by areas of improvement.
Feedback
There are two main types of feedback. EXTERNAL and INTERNAL.
External feedback can be information received from a coach, teacher, or classmate/partner etc. A checklist (written) or video (visual) can be used to help record performance. External feedback can also come in the form of knowledge of results. E.g. How many goals/baskets you score from a set number of attempts.
Internal
feedback (or kinaesthetic or intrinsic feedback), is information concerning the feel of the movement. E.g. Whether or not you are balanced in a headstand.
