Industrial Revolution and Nationalism Impact

The Industrial Revolution led to significant economic and social changes in Europe. New machines automated textile production and manufacturing moved into factories, drawing workers to cities. This aided imperialism as countries sought resources and markets abroad. Nationalism grew during this period and contributed to tensions between European powers. Rising nationalism and colonial rivalries were major factors leading to World War I. After World War I, disappointed nationalism in Germany contributed to the rise of the Nazis and the start of World War II.
