Contemporary World
Means that this is the modern world were living, the current world
that we are celebrating.
There are two topics that we about to discuss:
The Global Age and Globalization.
GLOBAL AGE- Period of time., that the world is aging. It is a
period of time when there is a prevailing sense of
interconnectedness of all human beings, of a common fate for
human species and of threat to its life on this earth. ( ALBROW,
2012)
GLOBALIZATION
Meaning is a process of interconnecting, interaction and integration among
people, companies and government of different nations, as process driven by
international trade and investment and aided by information technology. This
process has effects on the ENVIRONMENT, on CULTURE, in POLITICAL
SYSTEM on ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT and PROSPERITY, and on human
physical well- being in society around the world. ( )

GLOBALIZATION
It is a process meaning it is step to step process. It goes along in a specific step in
achieving globalization, this process involves 2 things:
INTER ACTION and INTEGRATION.
People , Companies and government inter act with each other despite of their
differences and similarities they inter act.
Does their interaction is good or bad, they are now being integrated as one.
GLOBALIZATION is:
About the liberalization and global integration of market.
Inevitable and Irreversible.
nobody is in charge of it.
benefits everyone in the long run.
further the spread of democracy in the world.
requires a global war on terror.
CONTEMPORARY WORLD
GLOBALIZATION- Transplanetary processes involving increasing liliquidity
liquidity & growing multi-directional flows as well as the structures they
they encounter and create.(Ritzer,2011)

Globalization stems, among other things from a basic human urge to
seek a better and more fulfilling life to a basic “urge” for a better
life-trade( or commerce), Missionary work (religion), adventures
and conquest (politics and warfare)

now appears to be a new global age, or the high point of such an age, is
destined to contract and disappear in the future.
