Who was Isaac Newton?

Isaac Newton was an English mathematician, physicist, astronomer,

theologian, and author who is widely known as one of the most
influential scientists of all time and as a main figure in the scientific
world. Newton was the first person to demonstrate the natural laws,
govern the motion of Physics. He is also very famed for his ‘Apple
tree incident’. The incident occurred in the late summer of 1666. In
other observations, it is stated that Newton was sitting in his garden at
Woodsthorpe Manor near Grantham in Lincolnshire. He noted an
apple fall from a tree, curiosity grew inside of him and he speculate
upon the nature of gravitation.

Trinity College Cambridge where he wanted to study law. His mother refused to pay
for his education so while at college he worked as a servant to pay his way. Newton
also kept a journal where he was able to express his ideas on various topics. He became
interested in mathematics after buying a book at a fair and not understanding the math
concepts it contained. Newton graduated with a bachelors degree in 1665. The further
pursuit of an education was interrupted by the plague. Trinity College was closed due
to the highly contagious, deadly disease. Newton went home. It was during this time
that Newton started to pursue his own ideas on math, physics, optics and astronomy. By
1666 he had completed his early work on his three laws of motion. The university
reopened and Newton took a fellowship in order to obtain his masters degree.
Family

• Isaac Newton came from a family of farmers but never knew his father, also
named Isaac Newton, who died in October 1642, three months before his son was born.

of his mother, his grandmother, one half-brother, and two half-sisters. It is rumored that
he disliked his mother because she re-married and moved away. Newton never got
married or had any kids, he dedicated his life for his career and interests in Physics.
