Definisi proverb

Proverbs are simple or short sentences that are usually used to equate
something or real truth that aims to educate through aphorisms or also called
proverbs. Proverbs will usually guide and educate us as to how people should
behave and are the agreement and approval of the masses.
Functions of proverb

Proverbs have several social functions, including:


1. Give advice.
2. Observation of the world and circumstances.
3. As a sign of the speaker’s identity in a people.
4. Beautify proficient language.
characteristics of the proverb
The order of words in proverbs is fixed because if changed, the wording can no longer be
said to be proverbs.
Here are the characteristics of the proverb:
1. The order of words in proverbs is fixed and cannot be changed.
2. Proverb sentences are usually to embellish the language or even satirize.
3. Words in proverbs are usually regular, impressive and meaningful.
4. Based on a careful view or comparison of the environment, events that occur or occur in
society.
5. Formed and created with one solid and beautiful language bond so that it is inherent in
society for generations.

Definisi Riddles
riddle is a statement, question or phrase having a double or veiled meaning,
put forth as a puzzle to be solved.

allegorical language that require ingenuity and careful thinking for their
solution.
Riddle conundra, which are questions relying for their effects on punning in
either the question or the answer.
