1. INSPIRING TO LEAD : THE GREATEST SHOWMAN

• CELEBRATE DEIVERSITY

• P.T Burman : No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else.
• A very informative article on how diversity in organization can help to attempt
diversity in our thoughts too.
• Often the people who have alike thinking are been chased as there are no new ideas to
come out from them. So it is said that hunt for the people who have got the unique ideas
and give them a platform to discover themselves and bring their ideas out.

• This is just not for the organizations, but for ourselves too. We actually in our real life
lack in taking the challenges, speak productive and lack the people of different societies
who could actually share their part of diversities with us.
TAKE RISKS

• This article was not related to the organization, but to our daily life.
• It is said that if you are not happy with in your present situation or
• condition then give up the thing and follow or go behind the dream or
• the thing which you are very much interested into.

• The risks are those steps that takes you away from taking the safer steps that
• you think you should take in your life Higher the risks, higher the returns.

This is the golden rule. Some risks however don’t pay, but you will never know if you
never try. Whatever the risk, it will definitely leave you richer in life experiences.

3.
CRITICAL STEPS FOR BUILDING YOUR TALENT PIPELINE STRATEGY

Correctly said in the article that there are very critical steps in ones walks of life
(related to career development), and they are as follows :-

1. Understand organizations need :- This says that we should have a clear and
complete idea in our current and future requirements. Determine which roles are
critical and how to handle them will to form a team. This initial stage is a bit
difficult one.

2. Link it to the company’s ‘problem’ position :- This part tells us that after identifying
the most crucial role, it can be then aligned to the problem of the organization.
Use succession planning and “what if” scenario modeling in order to devote
precious recruiting resources and budgeting.
3. Align your strategy to match the employee needs :- The goal of talent
pipeline strategy should be longer, more fruitful employee tenure.
If the company invests in employee development like for his education, training,
performance based incentives and wellness programs, then the chances are that the
employees will stay long with company, loyal and productive too.
Focus more on employee centric talent pipeline strategy.

4. Re-assess your strategy periodically :- Globalization and new technologies shifts your
business challenges and opportunities . Schedule yearly assessments of recruitment
along with the stakeholders to see that company is meeting established goals for
turnover reduction, and there is employee satisfaction and engagement.

ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND HUMAN NATURE HELP TO BE A GOOD HR

MANAGER?

This article tells us about how understanding a human nature really helps in becoming
a good and a successful HR Manager.

It is rightly said that the human beings are weird, moody, unpredictable, and many more.
But in order to breach till their hearts and be a good HR manager, it is very necessary to
have a lot of Patience and have a deep understanding, right from entering to a customers
shoe till solving their problem, everything should be handled with great care and a solid
understanding.

Human Beings are motivated by 4 main drives which are as follows :-

[Link] to Acquire (need to obtain things that ensure continuity and reproductive success)
[Link] to Defend (to ensure that what is acquired is not lost)
[Link] to Comprehend (understand the complex world around us)
[Link] to Bond (be able to connect, relate and build relationships with other humans)
The HR Managers that have to face some tough challenges in todays world are poor fit of
nature with the economic demands of present day market.

There are also some other qualities that an HR Manager should possess in him which are :-
• Taking Initiative

PHARMA COMPANIES LOOK TO HIRE YOUNGER PEOPLE FOR

TOP ROLES BUT STRUGGLING TO FIND RIGHT TALENT

The article says about the hurdles that are been faced by the pharma
company in order to get the right candidate but of a younger generation.

Pharma companies look to hire younger people for top roles but struggling to
find right talent.

Through this article I learnt that, previously companies expected to hire the
employees of age less than 35 years, for a reason of retaining the working
staff for longer life of the team.

But as years passed by, they concluded on having the employees more with
skills and talent in order to maintain a long quality life of the team.
7

WHY ARE COMPANIES TAKING LONGER TO HIRE?

In this article in a very correct way it has been said that as on the parts of the company
taking it too long to hire the candidate.

Wanting the right candidate in the organization each time they hire, the process of
selection or recruitment has lengthened for mid and senior level roles with more rounds
of interview.

Even after taking multiple rounds of interview it still becomes very difficult on the part of
the Interviewers to still select the right candidate for the topmost position , as the
position to be filled is the very crucial and the toughest one to be.

The trend is to evaluate the maximum possible number of candidates available within a
domain and sector before selecting the top or three, hiring the best among them. The
main purpose is to examine the person who can handle every possible situation in a
best way for the well being of the organization.

Now, organizations are realizing that an interview is no more a reliable experience to

identify a candidate who can perform to a role aligned with the specific company’s goals
and culture.
8

JOB MARKET IS EXPECTED TO IMPROVE IN 2018

In the article there is a positive news about the increase of job opportunities in India in 2018. And not
only about the increase opportunities of the jobs in India that are coming, but also with hike in the
payments going to be made by around 15-20% .

This is a good news for the younger and the fresher generation who are in search of jobs and want to
soon start building up their career in a fruitful manner and in a passionate way.

Speaking about the positive job market, the cofounder of team lease services, Rituparna Chakraborty
shared with media, “2018 is to get kick start to get better jobs for newer generation in all fields like
financial services, retail and e-commerce and media and entertainment are looking to hire the fresh
generation at a faster rate.

For Telecom and IT Industry, it was a year of disruption. As things are beginning to settle the hiring
trends are expected to improve.
The Campus Hiring Zone is doing a lot better in the hiring process and is been noticeable.

Samsung India is set to increase its hiring by 25% and the other top employers hiring in 2018 include
Cognizant, ICICI bank, Deloitte , Capgemini , Wipro, Amazon, HC Tech.

The report also mentions it is necessary to ensure an inclusive growth, creating more and better jobs
and quality jobs for both woman and men.
