INTRODUCTION
● NMB Bank Limited (NMB) is the first commercial
bank of Nepal that has been able to upgrade
from a Finance Company to a full- fledged
Commercial Bank.
● It started as nepal merchant banking and finance
Ltd. and was later changed to NMB Bank Limited
In may 2008 after being upgraded.

INTRODUCTION : Construction of residential & commercial real estate
projects and project management and marketing consultancy. The Company
has also given certain commercial properties on lease basis to various tenants.
HISTORY: Alembic group,is an indian conglomerate holding company
headquartered in Vadodara ,Gujrat . It was founded in 1907 and was initially
known as Alembic Chemical Works Company Ltd. It is one of the oldest
industrial houses in india and has a diversified portfolio of business which
include pharmaceuticals , healthcare , engineering , chemicals, glassware
production and real estate.
Alembic Real Estate is the real estate arm of Alembic Group and is involved in
developing residential township, industrial plants , schools, commercial offices
and hospitals ,majorly in the state of Gujarat. Alembic real estate was founded
in 2010 A.D.

FEATURES
➔ A large voluminous space, with 12 foot high ceilings.
➔ A cantilevered reception desk that appears to be in suspended motion.

➔ Color scheme : range of muted greys,blues and blacks as an ode to corporate
efficiency ,with warmth of a brick wall and natural greens .

➔ To remain quickly accessible and within reach to all executives, a 20-people board
/conference room is designed adjacent to the entrance, away from the main office floor.

➔ At this contemporary office the formal and informal meeting areas are designed to flow into
one another( metal and glass partition )
➔ Overhead sprinkler system, electrical grid,HVAC ducts and cable tray are stacked from top
to bottom from the ceiling .
➔ Keeping with the industrial character of the site, an array of 14 reclaimed lights from old
factories have been reused along the columns to highlight informal seating sections and
space divider.
➔ Phone booth pods for individual chats at ease in privacy. They are simply compact capsules
with the lining of cork board for sound proofing.

LIGHT BUILDS FORMS AND VOLUMES
● The building is illuminated in both day and nighttime
● During daytime,gypsum acts as clean,linear design,both for lighting the lobby
and for creating lighting effects in stairwells and staircase landings
● During evening,steelwalk bars positioned on the ground illuminate the facade
adjacent to the new wing highlighting the historic architecture of palazzo del
fucile
● Similarly uplights emphasize the texture of the stone arch in entrance courtyard

Design Challenges
● In response to the hot climate of caraglio,the
construction element brise soleil is placed in front of
glass screen to avoid excessive sunlight
● In reacting to the population of the region of diff user
groups the bank is made access through various
entrances.
● It also acts as covid response design by dividing the
mass into various routes connecting through public
square and also bank has provided space for
disable too
● Clear separation of private and public spaces can
be seen in the bank which is created through
staircase
