DAY 1 - COB
We start our workshop from group of Members . In day one we learned
about cob
To Make a cob we need to do mix the sand in the ratio of 6:1
6 – normal sand & 1- M sand
By applying water in correct consistency
To get a proper mixture we need to Role the mix in sheet 4 times right to left
and vice versa
After that we need to add enough straws to make the clay more strong so
that there wont be any crack appears
After completion of mix we start making the cob ball
in cob we did to do Two Tests
DROP TEST
CIGAR TEST
This gives the good experience of how cob is made .
DAY – 1 EARTHCRETE WALL
Stone Masonry is a masonry method. On
this construction stones and mortar are
used. Stones used are natural rocks and for
small filling they used demolished building
wastes. There is a various proportions of
stone blocks. By selecting stones with
similar sizes this can made by applying
mortar in certain thickness(if u know it add
that). And select the stone block and lay it
on the mortar by fixing smaller blocks near
the main block to close the void spaces and
fill rest with mortar. It gives a good
aesthetic look and also sustainable
