Black Dahlia: Elizabeth Short's Murder

Elizabeth Short was found murdered in January 1947 in Los Angeles. Her body was mutilated and drained of blood. The autopsy found she had been tied up, tortured with cigarette burns and cuts, and her body was cut in half and posed. The investigation found evidence she had been hosted by Mark Hansen in Los Angeles in 1947 but the murderer was never identified despite many false leads and claims. Suspects included Robert Manley and George Hodel, a surgeon, but the Black Dahlia murder remains unsolved.
