Sedudo Waterfall
Sedudo Waterfall is a waterfall located in Ngliman Village, Sawahan District, Nganjuk
Regency, East Java Province. Sedudo Waterfall is located at an altitude of 1,438 meters below
sea level. The height of the waterfall reaches 105 meters. And because the transportation to get
there is quite easy to access, the Sedudo waterfall is crowded with tourists .
Sedudo Waterfall will be very crowded with tourists during the Sura Month (Javanese
calendar). Because at that time, people will usually perform a statue bath ceremony called
Parna Prahista. This ceremony has been carried out decades ago, and until now the Nganjuk
Regency Government has always carried out the ritual. In addition to seeing the Parna Prahista
ceremony, tourists usually get water from bathing statues sprinkled with local residents. It is
said that the water left from the statue's bath can provide a sense of security and youth. Until
now, Parna Prahista is always held on the 1st of Suro at Sedudo Waterfall

Air Terjun Sedudo
Air Terjun Sedudo adalah sebuah air terjun yang terletak di Desa Ngliman, Kecamatan
Sawahan, Kabupaten Nganjuk, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Air terjun Sedudo berada di ketinggian
1.438 meter di bawah permukaan laut. Ketinggian air terjun mencapai 105 meter. Dan karena
transportasi menuju kesana cukup mudah diakses, maka air terjun Sedudo ramai dikunjungi
wisatawan.
Air terjun Sedudo akan sangat ramai dikunjungi wisatawan pada saat Bulan Sura (kalender
Jawa). Karena pada saat itu, orang biasanya akan melakukan upacara mandi patung yang
disebut Parna Prahista. Upacara ini sudah dilakukan puluhan tahun yang lalu, dan sampai
sekarang Pemerintah Kabupaten Nganjuk selalu melaksanakan ritual tersebut. Selain melihat
upacara Parna Prahista, wisatawan biasanya mendapatkan air dari patung-patung pemandian
yang ditaburi warga sekitar. Konon air sisa mandi patung tersebut bisa memberikan rasa aman
dan awet muda. Hingga saat ini, Parna Prahista selalu diadakan pada tanggal 1 Suro di Air
Terjun Sedudo.
