Filter to improve the overall flat top response . .
INTRODUCTION (Lattice Filter)
In FIR lattice filter, four unbalanced MZIs have been used
with delta L= 0.264 um, 100.32 um, and 50 um to get
power coupling coefficients of 6.69%, 75%, 50%,
respectively
This led to a flat-top transfer function with a free spectral
range (FSR= λ2/Δ[Link])

CONSLUSION
In the first simulation run, the lattice filter gives results as per theoretical calculations
of FSR and flat-top gain; however, from the second to fourth simulation runs, which
includes accepted silicon thickness and feature size variation, there is a significant
shift in gain-peaks and flatness responses. Therefore, effort should be made to reduce
this undesirable variability at the fabrication tolerance via choosing the proper
