Fish philosophy
Prof. Mrunal Lamge

Learning:

 Its is a remarkable way to boost morale and improve results. As it was started by the PIKE Place fish market in Seattle,
Washington. Its all about engaging people and create positive changes in their workplace and house lives !!!! As it is a
wisdom that anyone can embrace i.e. it is a creativity of a person who wants to apply, or to start or to highlight own
self through many ways. Its always a practice that evolves overtime creating a positive workplace and creates a vibrant
environment and culture each time .

 FISH !! Philosophy is a skill that provides the process, tools and language to generate the skills which is necessary to
design workplace with full of inspiration, creativity and innovation . It is an invitation that enables people to care about
each other and their commitments. As its committed to creating a culture of trust, accountability and innovation.

 Innovation that results directly into performance and directly into innovation. Also it encourages to re – awaken the self
trusting creative spirit within each of us.

 The 1st part indicates that a person can choose their attitude, as its also depends upon how you take your attitude
towards other and for own self. Carrying a attitude is not a problem but taking in wrong way and creating a problem is.
Continued ….

2nd part of the fish philosophy says that it’s a play where adults become a baby in big body in their particular age from the famous BOK
Pike’s, as its also says that you will hear the fish guys shouting – “One salmon flying to Minnesota” and repeats after it. Even you might
laugh noticing a fish guy juggling CRABS!!!!

What is play and what it brings into you by hearing it, further are the ingredients of play:

A. H – Happy people treat other well.

As we all know when we are happy we treat others also in same way in fact in more than good way and vice versa. Happiness is all
about greatness, the love we give and respect we give and take.

B. Fun – Leads to creativity.

Fun itself describe many things, as we are having fun in many ways we create a new memory by which he implement also in creative
way in our life and for others also. Doing this things in fun becomes more innovative and creativity which results in good impact or
presentable.

C. Time – Passes quickly.

Time never stops for anyone we all know this, as we are engaged into some work with an enjoyment we don’t even realize what time
is it but we see that it has passed in a good and energetic way which results in good way and vice versa.

D. Work – Itself become a reward and not just a way to reward.

When things and quality are inherently done while performing work it becomes rewarding because we own self are into the work due
to which its reward able.
Example : When like an artist is doing his artist work in its own way the happiness and the pleasure which automatically comes into mind
which feels like an air, at that time we do not notice time or the work itself gives a pleasure of work as an reward.
Continued ….

• Make their day.

According to the video involving your own customers i.e. your own stakeholder in it which will give you a good energy and
good response for your work which is been assigned throughout the time in positive and in energetic way . Looking for many
ways, it is possible to create memories as many you want. Involving others and working with them will make the day great
with full of energy and a flow in it.

• Be present .
Being present with own self will get the work done at that time only because presence matters the most in work. Doing one
thing at a time will give you good results plus a satisfaction. Having a presence will help others to get ride of problems plus
happiness of support. As we say, “ The past is history, the future is mystery, today is gift, that is why it is called as Present”.

Why fish !!!!

• It inspires team work
• It also builds effective relationship to facilitate communication of ideas and goals .
• It also stimulates thinking power to create ideas and create more friendly environment
• Make people valued every time.

Example :

• Start a joke of the month contest with the bulleting board.

Goods and Service Tax
Daulat Wadhwa

Learning :

• GST it is a one direct tax for the whole nation which will make India one unified common market.
• GST is single or narrow tax, on supply of goods and service right from the manufacturer to consumer. It’s a
destination or consumption based tax with credit of tax paid at previous stage.
• The goods and services tax (GST) is a tax on goods and services sold domestically for consumption. The tax is
included in the final price and paid by consumers at point of sale and passed to the government by the seller.
The GST is a common tax used by the majority of countries globally.
• Who is liable to pay GST? In general the supplier of goods or service is liable to pay GST. However in specified
cases like imports and other notified supplies, the liability may be cast on the recipient under the reverse
charge mechanism.

In India there are 2 types of taxes they are :

1. Direct tax : Which are levied on individuals and organization, which is directly paid to the government. It
includes income tax, gift tax etc.
2. Indirect tax : Which are levied on manufactures and goods & services. In India many type of tax are there
which is by central they include : Excise duty, Service tax, Custom duty, Central sales tax and from state they
include : Value added tax, Luxury tax, Entertainment tax etc.
Continued ….

In India there are many business going on in each and every part by which it become difficult for govt & business
to manage, comply, administer& monitor all indirect tax so for that purpose only one GST has come up i.e. good
and service tax which will make simple our tax structure.

Need for GST :

• To simplify and replace the existing multiple tax structure

• To remove cascading effect i.e. tax on tax double tax
• To get full credit for tax paid
• Increase tax collection and stop leakages

Current system :
From the introduction of value added tax few years back, the credit of input VAT was available against for Output
VAT only. Credit of Input excise/ service tax is available against Output excise / service tax. Credit of octroi is
also not available for any other tax.

Technology for GST:

• As central govt has formed Not for Profit Organization(NPO) for IT infrastructure and service. In GST
technology support is the most important or we can say important tool or backbone of it. As everything would
be happening online i.e. settlement of disputes, tax payers can register themselves online pay online, IGST will
happen online
• Registration will be happen through PAN linked and plus Infosys which is 2 nd IT company is making a bigger
platform for GST which will be levied from 1 st April 2017 which is it in progress till now .
Continued ….

GST rate :

• GST council has finalized “Revenue Neutral Rate” for different goods and services.
• GST council is joined body of central and state. Union minister will be the chairman & members include finance
minister from each state. GST council can take key and important decisions related to it.
• It includes fixing the Tax rates, Laws, CESS and everything which regards to solving disputes and
recommendations for it. GST council is going to handle everything.
• 0%, 5%, 12%, 18% and 28% with lower rates for essential items and highest for luxury. Current GST rate was 15%
and which has increased to 18% now .
• Revenue Neutral Rate means that govt wants the revenue to be remain neutral or unchanged, as govt wants to
protect revenue. With the introduction of GST, the govt has imposed some rates by which it will give the same
revenue, as govt will not sacrifice and give exemption for it.
• 0% for essentials goods and services(food grain & products), 5% for mass consumption products(soaps, colgates
etc.), 12% & 18% are for standard products, 28% for luxury items.

Dual GST model :

The dual GST model or the dual GST structure means levying tax with two different taxation components. In India,
both the Central Goods and Service Tax (or CGST) and the State Goods and Service Tax (or SGST) are the
components levied on a single transaction within a state due to its federal nature.

• SGST: State GST, collected by state govt

• CGST: Central GST, collected by central govt
• IGST : Integrated GST, collected by central govt on interstate supply of goods and service .
Continued ….

Benefits to Consumer, Govt and Business :

• Simple and uniform tax rate.

• High revenue efficiency.
• Reduce tax evasion
• Relief in overall tax
• Single and transparent tax.
• More money to backward states.

Key features of GST :

• Imports would be treated as inter state supplies and attract IGST. Exports to be zero rated
• Online system for tax compliance.
• Efficient use of resources
• Alcohol, Tobacco, Petroleum products are likely to be out from GST regime.

Characteristics of GST:

• Interest payable if refund not sanctioned in time.

• Refund to be directly credited to bank accounts.
• Comprehensive transactional provisional for smooth transition of existing tax payers to GST regime
• Anti profiteering provision.

DEVELOPING AND MANAGING BLOCKCHAIN
INNOVATION

Application of blockchain in governance projects, enterprise, and medium- and long- term changes

to be witnessed due to it. There are multiple global and local cases where blockchain has added

value. Blockchain is used for supply chain needs. Blockchain solves the information asymmetry that

exists among various parties. It also solves the archaic processes, especially in trade finance. there

are a number of banks focused on domestic trade finance. Cycle time for processing a letter of

credit in India was about 5-8 weeks which is reduced by 75% using blockchain-enabled

technologies.
With the bedrock of blockchain, there will be emerging technologies on top of it. Woodstock Fund are

identifying layers of blockchain and middleware that facilitate creation of futuristic apps. In financialization

DeFi is extension of the language, lot more merging of DeFi with traditional finance with demand from rea-

life use cases. Regarding metaverse, appreciation for anything digital has gone through the roof in this

lockdown over the last two years. E-commerce, social media, etc., have made lives easier during the

lockdowns. Anything digital has been lapped up by the masses. Product market fit for digital revolution has

accelerated massively over the last 18 months. Telangana government has been very receptive to

DEEPTECH IN FINANCE: FROM FORENSIC

we have always been looking at the financial system with the preventive lens. After money

over customer models, business requirements, etc. Tuning to these changes has been a

challenge.

A proper focus and well-set business goals are required to achieve this. We are creating lot of

data. We should identify that this is our biggest asset and business models should be built

around it. Besides latest technology, we also need to have trained and skilled manpower. It can

ensure the delivery model is as per regulatory expectations.

WHY IS CRYPTOCURRENCY SO VOLATILE

Over the span of a decade and a half, cryptocurrency industry has experienced incredible lows and incredible

highs. The market is extremely volatile that’s because Bitcoin. Over the span of a decade and a half, it has

experienced incredible lows and incredible highs. Despite the enormous media coverage that cryptocurrencies

have received over the years, the cryptocurrency business is still small compared to fiat currencies and gold as its

still a developing market, despite the enormous media coverage. The great majority of cryptocurrencies are

entirely digital assets with no physical backing. The pricing of their items is entirely decided by supply and

demand considerations.
The technology is still in its early stages of evolution to establish successful solutions for

cryptocurrency, Bitcoin and crypto developers must expose security issues to the rest of the

world in an effort to create remedies for Security breaches. Market speculation is considered

to be one of the most important elements leading to the bitcoin market’s volatility. Bad

news hurts its value by a lot. The value of bitcoins has plummeted in relation to fiat

currencies as a result of all of these events, as well as the resulting public concern. One thing

is certain: cryptocurrencies have grabbed the globe by storm. Governments all across the

world have had to either prohibit it or begin to regulate it, and we may soon live in a world

where it is legal tender.

RBI FLAGS REGULATORY CONCERNS

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said in a report ‘Trend and Progress of Banking in India and in its bi-

annual Financial Stability Report, had flagged the entry of big tech in financial services in emerging

markets. With big techs lending either directly or in partnership with regulated financial entities,

enhancing the regulatory approach by blending activity-based and entity-based regulations may not

be enough to ensure stability. They may not also provide a level-playing field and consumer

protection. The report, released in July of this year, said, big techs present at least three unique

challenges. First, they straddle many different (non-financial) lines of business with sometimes

opaque overarching governance structures.

Second, they have the potential to become dominant players in financial services. Third, big techs

already have a huge customer base and can become dominant players, giving little room to

smaller firms. Meanwhile, the banking regulator also said that payment banks that offer basic

banking services to the underserved segments of the society by leveraging technology, are seeing

their profits plummet. This is partly because they are under constant pressure to innovate and

maintain competitiveness, especially against big techs. Big techs such as Google, Amazon, and

WhatsApp are already involved in India’s payment ecosystem, involving Unified Payments

Interface (UPI).
THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF LOANS

People borrow money for various reasons. It could be to expand their business, to fund higher education, to

buy a home or car, to get a ring for their girlfriend or wife. Loans generally fall into two categories, secured

and unsecured.

Secured loans are those for which a borrower keeps some asset as surety or collateral to borrow money.

Collateral can be your car, your home, or anything that is valuable. It simply means that in the event of

default, the lender can use the asset to repay the funds it has advanced the borrower. Common types of

secured loans are mortgages and auto loans. If the borrower defaults on the payments, the lender can seize

the property and sell it to recoup the funds owed.

Unlike the secured loans, unsecured loans are taken without keeping a collateral. If the borrower

defaults on this type of debt, the lender initiates a lawsuit to collect what is owed. Lenders give

funds in an unsecured loan solely on the borrower’s creditworthiness and promise to repay. Banks

charge a higher interest rate on the unsecured loans as they are high risk. While giving unsecured

loans, banks check credit history of the borrower. Apart from that, the borrower’s financial

condition is also checked to find out if he will be able to repay the loan. unsecured loans are

personal loan, education loan and credit card transactions. And when a bank finds that a loan or

outstanding money owed are no longer recoverable, it marks is as a bad loan.

THE FUTURE OF FINTECH

Innovations of the year - Undoubtedly one major Fintech trend that has continued to accelerate in 2021 is

the adoption of digital payments. As the pandemic placed significant restrictions on the world, the use of

contactless payment and innovative payment methods. However, once the technology was implemented,

consumers and retailers quickly began to see the ease and convenience of digital payment methods,

alongside the preventative social health benefits. The past two years have been largely dominated by the

challenges of digital transformation in the Fintech industry. However, 2022 looks set to be the year of

balance as finance teams and solution providers find new ways to innovate, integrate and improve

efficiency.
An integrated ecosystem. across the Fintech ecosystem is continually increasing. Companies are beginning to

use more and more integration services, from payments to insurance, through APIs. The last year has seen an

uptake in embedded finance in non-finance brands, yet the coming year will rapidly accelerate usage through

open banking. data is the new currency, having entered a digitally dependent world. It comes as no surprise

that this trend of using data to drive technology forward. The use of data will then lead to more advanced

services and applications. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) will be among those. The

power of automation Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) will be among those. With AI and

ML, automating processes will soon be standard practice, utilizing algorithms and prediction models to

quantify and reduce risk.
