PROBLEM
The Davao Region has only 2 garbage landfills and it is generating 900 tons of
garbage. 50% of the waste is composed of non-biodegradable materials such as
plastics, cardboards, bottles and newspapers. The problem is that the number of
waste paper is contiributing much to the waste that needs to be disposed, and
how to reduce the waste papers in the sanity landfills.
HYPOTHESIS
• If the waste paper is crushed down into pieces then it will be easier to be
dispose.
• If there are plenty of blades are used then the paper will be shred thoroughly
• If the papers are shredded then it is either be composed in a pit or to recylce
and make a new paper.
• If the shredder have sharp blades and its distance is close to each other then
all types of paper can be shred using this product.
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Paper shredder is presented by Ming-Hui-Ho year 2003, it has two rotary cutters each with
multiple blades, Paper shredder is a manual machine that can turn a whole paper to strips.
Those papers that are shredded can be recycled and reused by making it a new paper.
A quarter to a third of most new paper is made from waste paper. The body of the usually
consists of matted cellulose fibers which are derived directly primarily from wood. This papers
are used for writings which are commonly used in examinations.
OBJECTIVES
• The researchers want to shred the papers into tiny pieces.
• The reaserchers want to dispose the papers easier.
• The researchers wanted to help the people in terms of the problem about the
paper.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
• How to easily dispose waste paper in surrounding?
• How can this product effectively shred the paper?
• What will happen to the shredded paper?
• Does all kinds of paper can be shred by this product?
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The researchers find this study important because the product can help the
people and the community dispose the waste paper easier. It is important
because it also teaches the people how to reuse and recycle waste since the
shredded paper can still be turned into a new paper.
SCOPE AND LIMITATION
• The capability of this product is to shred waste papers only and not plastics,
cardboards, and other waste materials.
METHODOLOGY
Procedures:

• Get the shredded paper at the bottom of the shredder.
RESULT
A. The waste paper is easier to dispose when it is crashed into smaller pieces, it is easier to decomposed
since it is already in smaller pieces.
B. The researchers therefore conclude that the product effectively shred the papers because of the
sharpness and the numbers of the blades that is used though the size of the strips depends on the
numbers and distance of the blades.
C. The researchers therefore conclude that the shredded paper can either be composed in a pit or can be
recycle and make it a new paper.
D. All the type of the paper can be shred, thick or the usual paper since it is based on the blades that is
being used.
CONCLUSION
• The researchers therefore conclude that this poduct is indeed
effective and helpful. This kind of alternative is indeed very
useful in our daily living and shredding papers are more eco-
friendly. The effectiveness of this paper shreddder is it cuts
the paper evenly to serve its purpose and to make the work
easier.
RECOMMENDATION
• The researchers recommend to use a latge a amount of blades jn order to
shred the papers well, and also we recommend the fufture researchers to find
an easiest way to shred and will not consume much time, and lastly a
portable model is considered for convinience amd less space to consume
