PRESENTATION

MOTIVATION
ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH GAME “BRING ME”? THE TEACHER GIVES THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST.
FIRST, I WILL CHOOSE SIX PLAYERS, THEN I WILL GROUP THEM INTO TWO. EACH GROUP WILL HAVE THREE
PLAYERS EACH. THE TWO GROUPS WILL FALL IN LINE, THEN I WILL CHOOSE 2 PLAYERS. ONE FROM EACH
GROUP TO PLAY IN EVERY ROUND. I WILL TELL EVERY PLAYER TO BRING ME THE PICTURES OF DIFFERENT
FACIAL EXPRESSIONS THAT IS HIDDEN INSIDE THE ROOM.
AFTER BRINGING ME THE PICTURES I’VE ASKED, THE PLAYER WILL IMITATE THE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS
SHOWN IN THE PICTURE. THEN THE OTHER PLAYER WILL EXPLAIN TO THE TEACHER WHAT THEY SAW ON THE
PICTURE. THE PLAYER WHO WILL WIN IN EACH ROUND WILL GET ONE POINT. THE GROUP WHO EARNED
THE HIGHEST POINTS WILL BE ANNOUNCE AS WINNERS.
B. DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES

2. Unlocking Difficulties
• Dawn - the first appearance of light in the sky before sunrise.
• Departure - the action of leaving, especially to start a journey.
• Enclosed - surrounded or closed off on all sides.
• Nap - sleep lightly or briefly, especially during the day
• Peeped - look quickly and furtively at something, especially through a
narrow opening
• Vanished - disappear suddenly and completely

3. DISCUSSION
PREPOSITION OF TIME: A preposition of time is a preposition that allows you to discuss a specific time period.
These are one of the examples of Prepositions of time (AGO, SINCE, AND BEFORE)
AGO- Refers to how far back in time something happened
Examples:
1. He left the house over an hour ago.
2. You were supposed to be here an hour ago.
3. I only saw you a week ago, but it’s nice to see you again.

SINCE- Refers to a point in time when something began.
Examples:
1. Forty years have passed away since they met.
2. I haven’t seen you since Monday
3. I’ve been working since 10 this morning.
BEFORE- Refers to any time before a specific point in time.
Examples:
1. She’s always up before dawn.
2. She became a lawyer as her father had before her.

PREPOSITION OF PLACE: A preposition of place is a preposition which is used to refer to a place where something
or someone is located.
These are one of the examples of Prepositions of Place (AT, IN, AND ON)
AT- A preposition of place which is used to discuss a certain point
Examples:
1. We spent a quiet evening at home.
2. The mall is located at the intersection of Main Street and Third Avenue.
3. Jessie waited for Jim at the corner.
IN- A preposition of place which is used to discuss an enclosed space
Examples:
1. I’m growing tomatoes in my garden.
2. Marie was born in Paris, France.
3. I was so tired that I took a nap in the car.

ON- A preposition of time which is used to discuss a surface
Examples:
1. Please place the bouquet on the table.
2. I really wish you would stop throwing your dirty clothes on the floor.
3. What’s on the menu this evening?
PREPOSITION OF DIRECTION- Preposition of direction can be classified into simple or compound prepositions.
These are one of the examples of Preposition of Direction (ABOVE, ACROSS, AND BEHIND)
ABOVE- A preposition of direction which is higher than
Examples:
1. The water came above our knees.
2. We were flying above the clouds

3. The people in the apartment above mine.
Across- The preposition across just from the word cross means to move from one side to another.
Examples:
1. When you travel to highlands you need to get a boat to take you across the ocean.
2. The zebra crossing is usually white painted across the road.
3. The garbage is spread across the street.
BEHIND- A preposition of direction which is in or to a place or situation in back of or to the rear of look behind you put
behind bars.
Examples:
1. She ran off and hid behind a tree.
2. The sun peeped out from behind the clouds.
3. The sun vanished behind the trees.

5. Application
In this activity, the class will be divided into three groups. Each group will be assigned in each preposition (TIME,
PLACE, AND DIRECTION). The group 1 will be automatically assigned in preposition of time and to be followed by
group 2 and 3. Each group will construct sentences using the prepositions through the given pictures. You will
construct sentences at least 5 every type of prepositions. I will give 10 minutes only to answer.
