Fayyaan Faaya Online Medical System

This document outlines a project to develop an online medical consultation and subscription system called Fayyaan Faaya. Introduction
► Healthcare is the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of
disease, illness, injury, and other physical and mental
impairments in human beings.

► In Ethiopia healthcare service have very limited automation


system with respect to providing healthcare related information
and consultation service for communities.

► Most of the information those related to providing healthcare


related information and consultation services are carried out in
manual way and it was time and resource consuming, and also
requires physically being at healthcare centers.

► That is the reason why we are initiated to develop the system
so called Fayyaan Faaya Online Medical Consultation and
Subscription System to allow our communities to have the
access of healthcare related information and consultation
services.

► The system aims to design and implement automated and


expertise system that will allow patients to have an access of
healthcare related information, provide medical consultation
service and medical diagnosis.

► Generally, it is developed to make both patients and doctors


more benefitable in accordance of healthcare services.

Statement of the Project Problem

► There is no healthcare related information provider system.


► There is no online medical consultation, basic medical
diagnosis and treatment system.
► In addition to the above problems, there is no way in which the
doctors get payment via online subscription rather working at
healthcare centers.

 General Objective
► The main objective of our project is to develop an automated
and expertise medical consultation and diagnosis system.
 Specific Objective
► To allow communities to access healthcare related information
via online.
► To develop and facilitate questionnaire based online medical
consultations.

prevention and recovery methods.

Scope of the Project
►The system gives access of healthcare related information and
symptom checking service.
► Patients should be able to create an account to get medical
consultation and find doctor services.
► Administrator should be able to create an account doctor.
► Doctor should be able to give consultation service and add
healthcare related information.
►The system didn’t support all local languages, it works in
English and rarely in Afaan Oromoo.

Significance of the Project
 For Everyone : -
► Provide healthcare related information on health topics.
► provide symptom checker service based on symptoms.

 For Patient: -
► Provide healthcare related information on health topics.
► Allow them to check symptoms of their disease.
► Provide medical consultation services either via Chabot or
video technology.
► Enable them to get Find Care - Find Doctor service.
