Decimal comes from the latin word decimus, meaning tenth, from the
root word decem, or 10. the decimal system, therefore, has 10 as its
base and is sometimes called a base 10 system. Decimal can also
specifically refer to the number in the decimal system.
A Decimal fraction is a fraction whose dominator is either 10 or 100 or
1000 or a power 10.

What is fractions?

How to Convert decimal
to fraction
To convert decimal to fraction follow these
steps.
Step
1: Write down the decimal divided by 1,
` like this:
Step 2: Multiply both top and bottom by 10 for every number
after the decimal point. (For example, if there two numbers after
the decimal point, then use 100 if there are three then use 1000,
etc.)
Step 3: Simplify (or reduce) the fraction
