DAP- Delivery At Place
This term can be used for any mode of transportation.
The seller responsible for transferring from origin until their delivery at the destination place with
buyer, ready for unloading at destination. The seller bears the risk until delivery of goods to the
named place and should get a contract of carriage that matches the contract of sell until the agreed
delivery point.

DAP The Seller’s Obligations
1. Provision of goods: The seller must provide the merchandise and the commercial invoice consistent
with the purchase agreement and provide all the appropriate evidence the contract may require.
2. Licenses, authorisations and formalities: The seller must bear the risk and expense of obtaining an
export or import license or other official permits and doing all customs clearance for export, for
transport through other countries.

agreed point of delivery

4. Delivery: The seller must deliver the goods not unloaded at the agreed point and time.

5. Transfer of risks: The seller must bear all risks of loss of or damage to the goods until the goods are
delivered.
6. Costs: The seller must pay: All costs of major transportation, loading at the place of origin, export clearance
at the place of clearance.
7. Notice to the buyer: The seller must provide the buyer with information necessary for the buyer to take the
usual measures necessary to receive the goods.
8. Transport document: The seller must provide the buyer, by his own expense vouchers to buyers can receive
the goods.
9. Checking - packaging – marking: The seller must bear the cost of checking, quality control, measuring,
weighing, counting, packing of goods and marking. If special package is required, the buyer must inform and
the seller and agreed on extra expenses.

1. Payment: The buyer must be responsible for the full payment to the seller as signed in the sale
transaction contract.
2. Licenses, authorisations and formalities: In contrast to the seller, the buyer must bear all risks
and costs to obtain an import license when the goods have been delivered to the place of receipt
as in the signed contract.
3. Contracts of carriage and insurance: The buyer has no obligation to the seller to conclude
contracts of transport and insurance. However, if required by the seller, the buyer must provide
the seller with the necessary information for procuring insurance.
4. Taking delivery: The buyer must receive the goods in the right place and time as specified in
the contract.
5. Transfer of risks: The buyer must bear all risks or damage to the goods from the time they
receive the goods at the agreed time.

[Link]: The buyer has to bear all the costs required for reshipment inspection, except
for those required by the authorities in the country of export.

related to the transport and supported the export of goods to the seller.

what is the buyer's responsibility?
The buyer has no obligation to the seller to
make a contract of insurance and transport.
However, if requested by the seller, the
buyer must provide all the information
necessary to purchase insurance for the
seller.

2. If there is an extra fee for unloading the goods, will
the seller or buyer pay?
It is certain that, the seller will pay.
Because DAP, deliver from seller ends unloaded
at destination place agreed, it can be used for any
mode of transportation. Buyer just pays for
import customs clearance, duties and taxes.
Contrary to DAT, goods are delivered unloaded
from transport vehicle.
