INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, the construction industry faces numerous problems, among which, managing construction and demolition
waste are of key concern. As this waste is a threat to the environment and it demands significant financial resources to be
tackled. Though human being can think in multidimension, but to consider all the contributing attributes for waste
management is beyond its limit. For this purpose, there has been always a need of a artificial intelligence (AI) which
could help in directing towards the management of the produced waste. Generation of construction and demolition
(C&D) waste is unavoidable in any circumstance and handling this waste is always a menace to the managers. This
requires high technicalities and a huge amount of resources to be spent on proper waste control. This paper aims to
develop a conceptual framework for an effective construction waste management system (EMS) by application of
artificial intelligence (AI), which could decide a suitable technique to be implemented on the produced waste. A
comprehensive review of waste generation attributes, waste management techniques, and adaptability & feasibility is
carried out to identify loopholes and limitations of each technique. The proposed EMS will help the construction
practitioners to apply the most suitable, most viable, most feasible and most economical waste management technique to
control on-site construction and demolition waste, based on its own capacity and type of waste.

WHAT IS WASTE?
• Waste is defined as the final product which has no worth for the owner at the end.
• The unwanted products and material which exist but are of no use.
• Also described as any product that is needed to be disposed of.
• This waste may be of two types
1. structure waste and
2. finishing waste.
CONSTRUCTION WASTE & ITS TYPES
• Construction waste can be defined as any materials by product of human and industrial activity that has no
residual value.
• There are two main kinds of building construction waste,
1. Physical Waste and
2. Non-Physical waste
CONSTRUCTION WASTE MANAGEMENT
• Construction waste management is an important area of concern in the contruction industry of India.
• Construction waste management can be defined as the reduction and minimization of construction waste by
applying waste management techniques.
• Construction waste management has been compromised and given low priority when there are limited
financial resources and technical professionals.
• Construction waste management is a skill and legislation.
• Waste management includes several steps like transportation, monitoring, disposal, and collection
techniques.
Existing Sytem
There are 5 Major steps in Construction Waste Management Hierarchy they are :
1. Prevent generating waste.
2. Eliminating waste completely by converting it in such things which can be decomposed like soil.
3. If it is not possible to avoid production of waste nor it is possible to eliminate the waste, then waste should
be reduced to its minimal level.
4. The waste generated must be recycled before it is used again.
5. Proper measures has to be taked before dumping it.

METHODOLOGY
PROPOSED WORK
• Advancement in artificial intelligence made its application possible in certain fields and
giving reliable results.
• This paper aims to develop a framework for coding the procedures in web-based program.
• The input of attribute and other site conditions will be given that will be analyzed through
the program.
• This paper will only discuss the detailed description of the methodology.
IMPLEMENTATION
• The first step in waste management should be identifying the most root causes of waste generation
and primarily focus on these causes.
• First, through the literature, all the waste contributing factors will be enlisted. The limitation and the
scope will be linked; all the developed waste management techniques will be extracted from the
literature.
• All the gathered data will be put up in a database which will be the first step.
• A graphical user interface, enabling the user to input the site conditions, type of waste and other
relevant data, on which decision has to be made, will be developed.
• The user will input the required data in the program. This program will be linked to the developed
database in the background.
• Entered input data will be linked and searched out in the database for the similar situations which are
applied in the previous cases.

CONCLUSION
Construction waste management is required for a country to develop in a sustainable manner. It helps
to address issues related to environment, social and economy. Once the root causes of waste
generation are notified, it can either be avoided or minimized to benefit the world for better future.
This study has identified significant factors contributing to waste in construction projects. By
identifying the significant factors in construction process, construction players are able to notice the
best ways to apply new practice for reducing material waste, time delay and cost overrun in any
project. Based on the results and findings of this study, the following recommendations are made to
reduce the construction waste generation in any construction projects. The aim of this study is to
provide the coding frameworks for the construction industry. It can be concluded that generally the
construction personnel are Zero waste of the construction waste.
