Qualitative vs Quantitative Research Guide

Qualitative and quantitative research methods each have their own distinct characteristics. Qualitative research focuses on subjective experiences and aims to understand perceptions and motives through interviews and observations, resulting in descriptive narratives. Quantitative research aims to be more objective and structured by examining trends through controlled experiments that produce numerical data analyzed statistically. Mixed methods research combines both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
