The pandemic has changed everything. But despite the
overwhelming consequences it brought, this global crisis has
also been an extraordinary time for learning. The role of
teachers becomes more significant in ensuring the continuity of
learning and wellbeing of our students.
As we begin this school year, teachers need to adapt and cope
up with all the changes in the educational process. It was a
challenging experience for me to be able to transition from what
I was used to do. It required me more time and effort to ensure
that I will still deliver my lessons effectively given the situation.
I have encountered challenges in reaching my students since
personal interaction was prohibited. Luckily, with the help of
modern technology we have today, I was able to keep in touch
with them in the form of online group chats, text/call messages
and in some cases, home visitation to those students who have
no means of communication at all.
It was very inspiring to remain committed in my profession
because of my students. I have seen them struggle and
persevere on their own at the same time. The involvement of
their parents played a big role in guiding and encouraging their
children to remain positive and optimistic.
Having all the support from the Department and my colleagues,
I believe that this school year was a success. Despite of the
challenges we encounter, we remain steadfast and committed in
fulfilling our vision and mission as educators.
ANNOTATION In my reflective summary, it is an in-depth
reflection about my personal experiences in
implementing the LDM.
