Two researchers conducted a study to investigate the extent to which personality, intelligence, and learning approaches predict academic performance. They collected data from 150 randomly selected college students out of a population of 500 students from varied ages, year levels, and courses. The independent variables were personality, intelligence, and approaches to learning, while the dependent variable was academic performance. Age was a numerical variable and year levels and courses were categorical variables.
