The travel industry has experienced defining moments over the past half
century.
• 1969: the first Boeing 747 jet takes its maiden flight.

• Lindblad Explorer, it was the first private, purpose-built expedition cruise ship,
sailed in the icy Antarctic Ocean.
• 1970 The Mexican government develops Cancún, México. This place
actually is considered a place for tourism.
• 1972: Ted Arison founded Carnival Cruise Line. This became in
a massive corporation of nine cruise brand. Carnival’s fleet of
“Fun Ships”. Now this brand is represented by exclusive
whale tail-sheped funnels.
1992 The category 4 Hurricane Iniki was the strongest storm in modern
Hawaii’s History, this storm caused billions of dollars’ worth damage.
