Industries are also classified based on raw materials used, ownership structure, and size. Large scale industries employ many workers and require large investments, while small scale industries previously required less than 1 crore investment but now less than 5 crore. Location of industries is influenced by geographic and human-made factors like resources, transportation and infrastructure.
