Overview

• Provides a standardized mechanism for the management of billable resources


• A usage is comprised of characteristics that describe its attributes
• Available operations for usages are:
– The retrieval of a single usage or a collection of usages
– The creation of a usage
– Partial update of a single usage or a collection of usages
• Can be used for both rated and unrated billing events
• Also provides a mechanism for exporting and importing of collection of usages
• The main attributes of a usage are: id, date, type, type specification, characteristics, status,
related parties and rating information
