Equity and Inclusion

Equity and Inclusion
From the tutors, so far I’ve learned about equity that:
A diverse team in a partnership can work wonders. It can include anything from non profit, education,
profit, business, and other organizations combined.
Having a mix of sectors with all facets of business and industry invites a more refreshing aspect in the
partnership.
Diversity inclusive initiative is helpful because companies desire the diversity candidate pool.
It brings in new ideas, innovations, and useful tools/resources.
Data shows that the impact in the ROI is 80% higher and more effective with a diverse audience of
employees.
Tools to Provide Equity
How does an organization support Equity?
Make sure there is a well rounded representation of different marginalized populations are being served
by the organization.
If you focus on community issues or social injustice, expand the horizon by viewing multiple aspects.
Have a wide variety of organizations that cater different needs.
Create a policy that is inclusive of all. Make sure it is fair and equal for everyone and avoid any kind of
exclusion.
Inclusion goes a long way and gives a sense of comfort and confidence in a partnership. When there is
genuine respect and justice amongst employees, the chances of success increase exponentially.
