INTRODUCTION

 Health issue is the major problem due to the heavy lifestyle.

 In most cases when the patient is not thoroughly monitored
then it causes fatal consequences.
 Most often due to negligence, inattentiveness, busy schedule
and more number of patients, the nurse may forget to change
the saline bottle as soon as it is totally consumed.
 So, there is a need of developing a saline level monitoring
system which will reduce the patient’s dependency on the
nurses or caretakers to some extent.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
“Due to the negligence towards saline completion by doctors,
nurses or caretaker of the patients in hospitals, a huge number
of patients are dying and are being harmed in the hospitals.”

PROPOSED METHODOLOGY
 Traditional methods used for health care are becoming obsolete due to increase
most often due to negligence, inattentiveness saline is totally consumed.
 Thus, Innovative health monitoring systems have being developed with less
human intervention which will be available at low cost in rural as well as urban
areas.
 The proposed system aims at trouble-shooting the above mentioned problem
effectively by means of this the nurse can monitor the amount of saline even in
the control room.
 An automatic saline level monitoring consists of Level sensors which are used
to determine the status of liquid in the bottle whether it is normal or warning
status.

ALGORITHM
Algorithm:
1. Start
2. Initialize the Header file
3. Read Flag from EEPROM Address 10
4. If EEPROM flag is HIGH then read weight value from EEPROM and go tostep
10.
5. If EEPROM flag is LOW then short press button after saline is attached thenwait
for 10 seconds.
6. Display reverse countdown of 10 seconds
7. Calibrate the load cell.
8. Store weight and flag in EEPROM.
9. Display initial load value.
10. Measure the saline weight and display it.
11. Long press detected then set EEPROM flag and EEPROM weight = 0,Display
"Remove saline bottle.." after 5 seconds detected, go to step 3.
12. End

APPLICATIONS & BENEFITS
 Applications
 It is used in Hospitals.

 Benefits
 By using this system the patient can be analyzed by doctors in
any part of the hospital.
 Used to transfer the information from the transmitter side to
the receiver side wirelessly.
 The whole health monitoring system, which we have proposed
can be integrated into a small compact unit.

13
Future scope

• This project can also be added to smart card attendance

system so that the controller gets the detail of absentee of
a faculty.
• In future, the system can be extended to a distributed
wireless network system.

14
Conclusion
• With IoT based saline level monitoring system, the
manual effort on the part of the nurses is saved. As the
entire proposed system is automated, it requires very
less human intervention.
• This will reduce the stress in continual monitoring by
the doctor or nurse at an affordable cost.
