Futsal is one of the most widely played sports in the world. It is the fun and exciting ball sport
that can be play by anyone.
As a part of the requirement , student of sunway college is required to choose any
elective subjects and one of it is Futsal. This subject is a hand on subject so students are
required to organize a futsal tournament. It is part of the assignments to conduct a professional
format futsal tournament which is sequence contests between a numbers of competitors, who
participate for an overall prize.

The class is organizing committee which each of the group will hold futsal tournament. The key
to success is student leadership, interest, involvement and participation. The committee will
help to handle the proposal, divide the team into different groups such as the treasure, the
registration committee, the referee during the tournament and such. The tournament will be a
learning experience for students through our involvement in organization, administration,
budgeting and scheduling, as well as the development of knowledge in the futsal sport.

The futsal tournament event will be held on the 12 th week of this semester. The venue will be at
the MAITIDEVI FUTSAL COURT where the classes will usually take place and duration
time of event takes around 2hours from 8am until 10 am .
• VISION:
“Where the best comes together”

• MISSION:
The explicit meaning of the vision is the inspirational way of
working in a team that unites us together and drives our performance
and growth. It enables us in a team together to create an exciting futsal
tournament and at the same time bring out the skills and talent in every
each of us.
• OBJECTIVES
The main objective of this event is to provide opportunities and the exposure
to students about futsal in depth. It helps building a better understanding about
futsal especially when they get to experience themselves on how to handle a
futsal tournament. They will have a clear idea on the rules and regulation. At the
same time, the event assists in fostering teamwork, cooperation and tolerance
among groups.

Other than that, it encourage students to take part in a major co-curricular

activity as an organizing committee member. Students that come from different
faculty background and working together will create a strong bond among them
and positive environment in the college as well.

Further more, the events expose students in the finer points of planning,
organizing and managing an event as their part of required assessment. It will
bring along the spirit of togetherness and showcase skills from students on
playing futsal.
• TYPE OF EVENT
The type of event that we are going to conduct is based on FIFA futsal
game. Playing futsal involves much more than just the individual
player’s techniques or physical abilities.

This team game involve 10 number of players which is a team of five

(with five players preside). Playing in five requires teamwork,
communication and focus.

As for this event, we decide to conduct a tournament with divided for

two Groups (Group A of 3 team and Group B of 3 team).

FUTSAL
• 7 –minutes periods
Futsal matches comprise two periods each lasting 7 minutes of actual
playing time. The clock is stopped every time the ball goes out of play
and is restarted when play resumes.

• Unlimited substitutions
A match is played by two teams, each consisting of not more than five
players (a goalkeeper and four outfield players)
• RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR
FUTSAL
• THE GOAL KEEPERS
Goalkeepers have only six seconds in which to play the ball, with either their hands or
feet, and may not touch it again if it has been deliberately played to them by a team by
a team-mate without an opponent playing or touching it. Goalkeepers are also now
free to play anywhere on the pitch and throw the ball beyond the halfway line, which
was not previously permitted.

• ACCUMULATED FOULS AND THE SECOND PENALTY MARK

Accumulated fouls are those penalized with a direct free-kick or penalty kick,
regardless of whether advantage has been played or not. If a team commits a sixth
accumulated foul, the opposing side may take the subsequent free-kick awarded to
them without a wall, either from the second penalty mark, which is positioned four
meters behind the first, or from a position even closer to the penalty area if the foul
was committed between the goal line and the second penalty mark.

• Conclusion
In conclusion, the main reason for us proposing to have this tournament is to fulfill
the coursework FUTSAL. This Futsal subject does not have final exam so this
tournament will be our main and only final project. So it is important for us to
make sure this tournament will go smoothly.

On another note, by having this tournament it will help us to gain the experiences
on how to organize and manage like an actual tournament and at the same time
gain the experiences of playing futsal more serious for the tournament rather than
playing, it only for recreational purpose, especially for the first time timers among
us. This tournament will give us an insight on how fun and serious futsal can be.
This final project also gives us more understanding about futsal sports in detailed,
like the correct warm-up before and after playing, the general rules and regulations
in playing, the scoring, the correct layout of the courts and many more.
Further more, organizing this tournament will also help to strengthen relationship
between students from different faculties.
