performance
Capacity :its describe what disable person can be achieved in standardized
environment .
Performance : what people actually do in life situation.

functionally significant degree (Word report on disability ,2011)
Idea of Paper

 Idea of paper come from questionnaire Result Which is Called Wheel Chair Test(WST-Q) That tells after using
hypotheses test that Capacity and performance had significant relationship Also capacity exceed performance the
questionnaire gave for people who had Mobility limitation and strokes,Data collected by interview

Participants :
 26 manual wheel chair user
 Have had minimum 3 months Experience out side hospital
 Have had no major changes in health status in the past month
 Have been age 17 years
 have been able to read and understand English
 have been able to follow verbal and visual instructions
 have been willing to take part in the study
 The research done by interview with participants by posed question to measure the capacity and
performance the test attempts 32 skills to measure

STEPS OF TEST
 First the interviewer ask if participant had preformed any of these skill past month(in order to reduce error)
 If answer is yes then the interviewer Requests to explain how he/she preformed it (if safely or not )
 If the participant convinced the interviewer that he had preformed the skill (performance)
 The participant could do the skill (capacity )
 If the participant had not to preformed the skill failing score for performance
 If the participant could do this skill if required pass or fail was awarded for capacity depends on answer
 If the participant could do the skill but he/she don’t preform it in last month so the interviewer ask why ?
Method of analysis

 Statistical analysis is using in test by SPSS software and by hypotheses test with
Alpha equal 0.05

RESULT :
After statistical analysis using SPSS the correlation factor between capacity and
performance is R=0.853 so the relationship between capacity and performance are
highly correlated
Mean of capacity is 72.5±19.2% (20%)higher than performance 58.1±21.2%
9 skills of 32 (28%) mean capacity is higher than performance skill
Performance is more relevant to functional community than capacity
