WHAT IS MUSIC?
• According to the dictionary, music is vocal or instrumental sounds (or both)
combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression
of emotion.
• How did it originate?
• A long time ago, music was discovered by rhythmic patterns of clapping hands and
then slowly evolved into hitting stones with sticks. Then, gradually over time, pitch
started to be added which opened up a completely new world of music!
WHY IS MUSIC IMPORTANT?
• Many studies have shown that music…

• Increases our daily productivity
• Reduces anxiety and stress
• Improves memory
• Improves our cognitive thinking function
