BI Integrated Planning

 BI-IP is delivered as part of NetWeaver 7.0

 BI-IP delivers a generic planning environment for customers to build specific
planning applications
 BI-IP can co-exist with SEM-BPS or BW-BPS
 BI-IP provides significant enhancement in functionality
 Delivery of a more user-friendly and flexible planning interface
 Common UI for Planning and Reporting
 OLAP engine is now aware of plan data even before it is saved to database
 BI Analysis features now available for business planning (drill-down, calculation,
formula, exceptions, etc.)
 Major enhancements in the ability to leverage Excel
 Ability to store planning templates locally and work offline using Excel workbooks,
and reconnect as required
 Enhanced flexibility to combine local and central planning functions
 A new web-based planning modeler for creating and modifying any type of plan
 Faster implementation and lower maintenance cost
 Enhanced distribution capabilities via Information Broadcasting

BI-IP with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 supports easy-to-use planning in BI

environment and is fully integrated in SAP NetWeaver
