Role of Quality Assurance
committee (QAC)
Quality Assurance Committee look after the
key issues of Quality Assurance in the
knowledge being imparted by HEC.
The QAC is playing its role as an advisory
body to HEC for developing an effective and
workable system.
The QAC operates on the basis of a process
of consultation.

Policy making and developing practical
guidelines of quality assurance in cross
cutting areas of higher learning.

ROLE OF QEC IN QUALITY
ASSURANCE
Promoting public confidence that the quality and standards
of the award of degrees are enhanced and safeguarded.
The review of quality standards and the quality of teaching
and learning in each subject area.
The review of academic affiliations with other institutions
in terms of effective management of standards and quality
of programs.
It should also help the employees to know as to what they
could expect from candidates.
. Ensure that the university's quality assurance procedures
are designed to fit in with the arrangements in place
nationally for maintaining and improving the quality of
Higher Education.

Computerized testing through ACCUPLACER and ETS Proficiency
Profile.
Analyze reliability of relevant tests.
Survey administration and reporting
Collect record and maintain institutional data and provide reliable
and timely information for internal and external reporting and to
support analyses.

IMPLEMENTATIONS OF THE QEC
DURING PHASE ONE AND TWO
With the implementation of the first phase of
QEC project at HEC, total ten universities
were selected to establish at QECs, in AJK and
all four provinces of the country.20 more
QECs were established during the second
phase of the project.
Thus, QAA and QECs of the Universities will
work hand in hand to move in this
direction of capacity building arrangements.
