Definition
A Project Execution Plan is a document used to govern and controls a
specific project in its execution and in for its monitoring.
The document serves as a communication tool to keep everyone
involved in project aware of the project objectives and have the
knowledge on how they can be accomplished.
Project execution plan creates a safe, productive, collaborative and
highly motivated culture work culture in construction projects.

Uses of Project Execution Plan
• A project execution plan is used as a main document that provide the
means to have a certain project executed , monitored and controlled.
• The plan also provides a description that how, when and by whom
targets are to be achieved.
• It is used as a reference or guide on the steps or action are to be
taken on the correct and appropriate method to execute a specific
project,
Barriers to effective strategy execution:
• No strategy execution focus – leads to poor delivery of results.
• No execution roadmap - leads to inefficiencies and wasted effort.
• No understanding by employees of their contribution to execution
outcomes –leads to lack of motivation to succeed.
• Unclear strategy management policies – leads to confusion and poor
decision making.
