Eosinophilia Case Study in Indian Farmer

This case study describes a 38-year-old Indian farmer who presented with eosinophilia. Laboratory tests found his white blood cell count and eosinophil levels to be elevated outside the reference range, with a differential showing 35% eosinophils. A peripheral blood smear revealed the presence of microfilaria with multiple nuclei throughout the body stopping short of the tail tip, consistent with a filarial infection.
