Learning Objectives
At the end of this course students will be able to:
a) describe the changes in metabolism that typically occur as body weight
increases
b) explain the biological mechanisms linking obesity to common co-
morbidities such as type-2-diabetes, cardiovascular disease, & cancer
c) explain the biological mechanisms that limit most weight loss strategies
d) describe the best practices with respect to obesity prevention and
treatment
