Learning Strategies by Luisa Tobo

Luisa Tobo from Colombia took a course to learn how to learn faster. She learned about focused mode and how observing with focused attention helps gain knowledge from complex topics. She also learned about fuzzy thinking where the subconscious works on problems overnight, and deliberate practice which involves focusing on difficult topics to change abstract concepts into concrete neural structures. Key learning techniques included fragmentation of ideas into intertwined pairs or groups, developing spatial "muscles" to visualize abstract concepts, and using the Pomodoro technique with time limits to build long-term memory in chunks over time rather than long hours before exams.

LEARN TO LEARN - THANKS

PROFESSOR BARBARA!
MY NAME IS LUISA TOBO I FROM COLOMBIA
here i will tell you a little about
my learning in this course so
that you can idealize that you
can learn much faster
at the beginning of this course they taught us the focused
mode the truth is very interesting since i did not know that
something similar existed as the teacher barbara did not
comment that we can observe with this way that whenever we
learn something complex we gain knowledge.

something interesting and important is our fuzzy thinking, that

is, when we go to sleep, our subconscious works to generate
solutions to problems with difficulty of our day to day.
Delibérate practice is a concept:
orderly,It helps to change abstract
concepts in neural - concrete
[Link] type of practice involves
focusing on difficult topics. A solution to
be able to trap information in our brains
is fragmentation, it is about saving
ideas, we have two types of memory,
one of them is working, with which we
operate day by day and the second
long-term memory, which are those
learnings that they last us over time
As I mentioned before, in order to
capture ideas and knowledge, we
fragment you, you will wonder what it
is because I will tell you that they are
intertwined ideas, they can be two or
four in order to get to the main idea of
the topic that is being discussed. I
also want to remind you that
concentration is something vital to be
able to retain knowledge
vampires of thought are distractions which
occupy us space is our limited memory
which has 4 slots in the videos they
mentioned the learning octopus its 4
tentacles connect to other parts of our
brain.
to join ideas, in the lane in focused
[Link] we are distracted or stressed,
the tentacles do not appear.
To have a good first level learning it is important
that you plan your study times to capture the
"Reconsolidation" information faster.
A great way to gain knowledge in any study
situation
We need to develop our spatial "muscles", not
for athletics!
Turn the abstract concept into something you
can see.
This will help to understand the difficulty
BUILDING SOLID CHUNKS OF LONG-TERM
MEMORY TAKES [Link] THERE IS NO MOTIVATION
TO PRACTICE,
WE PUT OFF;CHUNKS OF LT MEMORY WITH
MEMORY EVEN HALF AN HOUR DEDICATED TO
EACH TOPIC EVERY DAY,
IT IS BETTER THAN MANY HOURS BEFORE THE
DAY OF THE EXAM. USE THE POMODORO AND A
TIME LIMIT CORRECTION.
FOCUS ON THE STUDY PROCESS PLEASESINCE
THE PRODUCT WILL NOT MAKE YOU FEEL
[Link] IS THE PRODUCT,
THE FINAL TASK THAT CAUSES A LOT OF
PAINTHAT IS WHY STUDENTS POSTPONE STUDY
TIME
TREAT FAILURE AS
A LESSON
