 Internet is a global computer network providing a
variety of information and communication facilities.
 It consist of interconnected networks using
standerised communication protocol.
 Now day , it has become an essential part of our life.
 There are many uses of internet.
 We will discuss them in next slide.
Uses of internet :Communication
 At the moment the easiest thing that can be done
using internet is to communicate with people living far
away from us with extreme ease.
 Earlier communication used to be a daunting task but
all that chanced once internet came into the life of
common people.
 Now people can not only chat but also can do video
conferencing.
 Communication is the most important gift internet
has given us.
Research and education
 In order to do research you need to go through
hundreds of books as well as references and that was
the most difficult job earlier.
 Since internet came to life , everything was available at
just a click.
 Education is the best thing internet can provide.
 There are number of books , reference books , online
help centre ,expert’s view and other study oriented
materials on the internet that can make learning
process much easier.
