Frequency Modulation & Demodulation: Unit: 6

Frequency modulation encodes information by varying the frequency of a carrier wave. The amount the frequency changes from the carrier frequency is called the frequency deviation. The deviation ratio Kf is the ratio of the maximum frequency deviation to the highest modulating frequency and determines the quality of the FM signal.
