WHAT IS SELF-
AWARENESS?
“the ability to take an honest look at your life
without attachment to it being right or wrong”
-Debbie Ford
- is having a clear understanding of your
personality; including your strengths,
weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs, motivation, and
emotions.
- self awareness allows you to understand other
people, how they perceive you, your attitude
and your responses to them in the moment
- the ability to see yourself realistically without a
great deal of difference between what you are
and how you assume others see you.
Self-disclosure-the ability to let another person
know what is real about your thoughts, desires,
and feelings
